The management trainee’s responsibilities include completing all assigned tasks, which may include, performing duties in different departments, gaining knowledge of operations, learning how to handle disputes, attending meetings and workshops, traveling to other sites, providing support and suggestions for improvement, updating records, and preparing documentation. Candidate should also be able to complete any required evaluations. To be successful as a Management Trainee, candidate should have superb attention to detail and be able to promptly identify problems. Outstanding candidates will have great leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. The candidate will work under the supervision of managers and executives in our organization. The goal is to acquire all essential knowledge, to become future managers. Trainees will rotate to different departments to learn all company functions, policies and duties.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in purchasing management position, Export & Import within the feed milling industry, or alternatively the food manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated abilities relating to procurement, supply negotiation and contract management, demand management and stock control.
  • In-depth understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, tariffs, and compliance requirements across various regions.
  • Exposure to food safety principles across procurement activities including GMP, HACCP, ISO, GAP / BAP, GLOBAL GAP
  • Frequent travelling and familiar with Custom, Department of Veterinary and Department of Fisheries submission and approval process.

Job Descriptions

  • To provide forecasted raw material prices as required and implement supply chain strategies from the output information to ensure least cost, continuous supply of all materials, consumables and services.
  • To be responsible for the management of all inward logistics to all production facilities including shipping, port clearance, handling and unpacking of imported materials, demurrage management, storage and warehousing as required. Ensure all imports meet all required statutory and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • To manage and maintain accurate records of all import/export-related documentation, including licenses, permits, certificates of origin, and customs declarations. Ensure the timely and accurate submission of required reports to regulatory authorities.
  • To be responsible for certification/registration/licensing/audit/supplier evaluations and all company set up government related process.
  • To manage auditing of suppliers as necessary to meet the site’s certification standards and requirements. Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance with company policies, SOPs, ISO & Global Gap standards.
  • To manage stockholding of all raw materials and consumables on-site to ensure minimum stocks are held at all times giving due consideration for capital holding levels. Implement trigger levels for ordering patterns for all materials.
  • To be involved in the cash flow projection with finance.
  • To monitor material standards and ensure QC & QA requirements are met. Documentations required by QA etc : COA, sample, test analysis if and when required.
  • To undertake purchasing specifications/SOPs/Procedures and document it for future references.
